"The Towns and countryside that the traveler sees through a train window do not slow down the train, nor does the train affect them.  Neither disturbs the other.  This is how you should see the thoughts that pass through your mind while you meditate." Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche

Meditation and Mindfulness Practices benefit every human being. Studies show that Meditation and Mindfulness can benefit immune function, anxiety and depression, fertility, memory loss, creativity, attention deficit disorder, etc... There is no downside and many benefits.  The benefits exist for children right through retirement.  Teaching the basics of meditation and mindfulness are giving the gift of success . . . as with the old proverb "give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."

"At the heart of each of us, whatever our imperfections, there exists a silent pulse of perfect rhythm, a complex of wave forms and resonances, which is absolutely individual and unique, and yet which connects us to everything in the universe." George Leonard
Meditation is one of the easiest ways to improve your overall health.  All it requires is your willingness to practice, your non-judgemental attention and an object to focus your attention on.  THAT IS IT!

Types of meditation include: Focused Attention, Open Awareness, Mindfulness Meditation, & Guided Meditation.  Within meditation are countless techniques that can be utilized through Pure Natural Meditation™ classes and coaching. Regular Mediation has been shown to help with the physical (reduced insomnia, increased fertility, balanced blood sugar, improved immune system functioning, increased neuro-plasticity), emotional (reduced anxiety, reduced compulsive behavior, decreased depression, enhanced appreciation of life, decreased need for addictive substances) and mental (increased connections with one's true nature, compassion towards one's self and others, increased peace) aspects of existence.

"When you sit upright but relaxed in the posture of meditation, your heart is naked.  Your entire being is exposed--to yourself, first of all, but to others as well.  So, through the practice of sitting still and following your breath as it goes out and dissolves, you are connecting with you heart."
Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche

Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention on purpose with a non-judgemental, gentle, awareness.  It involves giving attention to a particular object. Mindfulness can be a formal practice or a practice utilized in every day life for re-calibration.  It is beneficial in states of overwhelm, moments of anxiety, or simply existing in modern society.

Pure Natural Meditation™ offers classes in mindfulness as well as programs in mindfulness training  . . . primary school students through CEOs.  An understanding of mindfulness brings you into a present moment awareness and trains you to be aware of when you are focusing on the future or the past instead of existing in the present moment, which is all that truly exists.

As Thich Nhat Hanh is quoted as saying:
"The past is gone, the future is not here.  If we do not go back to ourselves in the present moment, we cannot be in touch with life."
